Gruplar kendi içinde karşılaştırıldığında, kontrol grubunun DSE ve DUA testi dışında her iki grubun son test değerlerinde anlamlı iyileşmeler tespit edildi (p<0,05).
Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the impact of 8-week pliometric training on the speed, elasticity and strength of the lower ends of the 13-15-year-old football team. Tools and Methods: The study, a total of 28 licensed footballers (Study=14, Control=14) participated voluntarily. Both teams regularly performed football technical and tactical exercises 3 days a week. In addition to routine exercises, the working group was applied a 30-35min pliometric training program for 2 days a week for 8 weeks. The control group continued the routine training program. The participants tested the height, weight, body mass index (BKI), speed, elasticity and lower end strength; 30m speed, vertical jumping (DS, DSE), altogens, 5-0-5, zig zag, T test, standing long jumping (DUA) test and leg dynamometers were used. Results: There was no significant difference between the two groups when compared the pre-test values of the study and control group (p>0,05). When compared the groups within themselves, significant improvements were observed in the final test values of both groups, except the DSE and DUA tests of the control group (p<0,05). When comparing the final test values of both groups, it was found that there was a significant statistical difference between the groups (p<0,05). The result: Our study has shown that the plyometric training applied has a positive impact on the performance characteristics determined in athletes and has contributed to the improvement of performance. As a result, the well-programmed plyometric training in children was integrated into the routine training program and the use of it would be an alternative to other strength training and could give quick results.
