Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between body training and the conscious levels of the candidates for sports teachers and the perceptions of competence regarding them. The research is designed according to the relational scan model. The work group, selected with the principle of accessibility and voluntary participation from the aimed sampling methods, consists of a total of 234 body education and sports teachers candidates, including 147 (62.8) men and 87 (37.2) women, who have studied in the body education and sports teaching department of 2 different universities located in the province of Ankara. As a data collection tool in the research, the Turkish adaptation was carried out by Özyeşil, Arslan, Kesici and Deniz (2011) with the Conscious Awareness Scale of Çakır and others. (2000) has been developed to measure the beliefs of the candidate teachers' professional qualification regarding themselves. In the analysis of the data, the relationship between the teacher’s conscious levels of awareness and the teacher’s perceptions of competence about themselves was studied with the Pearson Moment’s Collapse Correlation, and the teacher’s level of awareness was studied using the path analysis of the contributing role on the teacher’s perceptions of competence about themselves. A positive and meaningful relationship has been established between BIFO and AOKIYAÖ. It has been determined that the level of conscious awareness of the participants directly and positively affects the level of perception of self-competence. It is also seen that 30% of the change in the perception of the teacher candidates in their self-related competence is explained by the Conscious Awareness Level.
