Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to compare the health demand, supply, and expenditures of OECD member nations to determine whether there are any parallels or discrepancies between them. The Multidimensional Scaling approach was used to analyze the data that was obtained. The variables were reduced to two-dimensional space. In the first dimension Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, and Norway were identified as the other nations with positive high values; also ın the second dimension, the USA and Mexico were identified as the other countries with positive high values. Therefore, these countries exhibit similarities in terms of variables. In the first dimension, Turkey and Mexico; In the second dimension Hungary and Greece were found to be the most significant differentiating and distinct countries, having the highest negative ratings. The study's findings enabled for the comparison of the MPS using p number of variables and k number of dimensions. The positions of the countries in relation to one another on the two-dimensional geographical map were therefore established using the ten variables determined in the study. The opportunity to compare the countries with other countries based on location is made possible by the findings. In addition, the findings are also regarded as a crucial road map for the nations' health programs.
