Atatürk University Health Research and Application Center Directorate had been serving in two different buildings until 15.05.2012. After this date, the need for a disaster plan occurred in the new service building formed by the merging of service buildings. This study was carried out to create a new disaster plan to respond to the needs of emergencies and similar emergencies. National and international literature sources were searched for descriptive research. Disaster plans of some hospitals in our country were examined. Interviews were held with institutions and organizations related to disasters. The necessary knowledge and experiences were used during hospital disaster planning by participating in various training and exercises. With this study, an organization chart not found in the previous disaster plan was created and the duties of all the officials were determined in detail. Health services, emergency services organization and triage applications were determined in a disaster environment. Chemical Biological Radioactive and Nuclear agents decontamination, first and emergency aid applications and evacuation routes were determined. In case of evacuation, field hospital installation was determined. Radio certificates were obtained for uninterrupted communication in disaster and their infrastructure was strengthened. According to the sabotage regulation, anti-sabotage methods were determined. All these studies were explained to the hospital staff by training and exercises. As a result of this study, a hospital disaster plan was prepared in accordance with the conditions of the region, province, and hospital. Realistic and feasible disaster plans can be combated with disaster preparedness more effectively.
