Bu araştırmanın amacı, bir kamu üniversitesinin spor bilimleri fakültesinde lisans eğitimi alan öğrencilerin okul iklimi algılarını yordayan faktörlerin incelenmesidir. Spor bilimleri lisans öğrencilerinin okul iklimi algılarının incelendiği bu çalışma, mevcut bir durumu var olduğu hali ile betimlemeyi amaçladığı için tarama modelinde şekillenmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın çalışma evrenini uygun örnekleme tekniği gereği küresel salgın nedeniyle kısıtlı imkânlarla belirlenen Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi çatısı altında lisans eğitimlerini sürdüren 1239 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırma uzaktan eğitim vasıtası ile ulaşılabilen 436 gönüllü öğrenciden elde edilen veriler ile gerçekleştirilmiş olup bu sayı çalışmanın örneklem büyüklüğü olarak kaydedilmiştir. Cinsiyet, sınıf, bölüm ve öğretim türü değişkenlerinin yazar tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ile tespit edildiği çalışmada temel veri toplama aracı olarak Terzi (2015) tarafından geliştirilen Üniversite Öğrencilerine Yönelik Okul İklimi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca öğrencilerin spora yönelik tutumları ve üniversiteye duydukları güvenin belirlenmesi için Şentürk (2015) tarafından geliştirilen Spora Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ile Özdoğan ve Tüzün (2007) tarafından geliştirilen Üniversiteye Güven Ölçeği’nden yararlanılmıştır. Normal dağılım gösteren ve yüksek derecede güvenilir olduğu tespit edilen verilere uygulanan parametrik testler sonucunda ortaya çıkan bulguların ışığında öğrencilerin spora yönelik tutumları ile üniversiteye duydukları güvenin, okul iklimi algılarını olumlu yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin spora yönelik tutumları ile üniversiteye duydukları güvenin, birlikte, okul iklimi algıları üzerinde önemli birer yordayıcı (%60) oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, spor bilimleri lisans öğrencilerinin okul iklimi algılarının artırılması için spora yönelik tutumlarının ve üniversiteye duydukları güvenin, akademik ve idari personeller tarafından olumlu yönde desteklenmesinin uygun olacağı görüşüne varılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to study the factors that influence the perception of school climate by students who receive a bachelor's degree in a public university's Faculty of Sports Sciences. This study, in which the Bachelor of Sports Sciences students are studied the perceptions of the school climate, has been shaped in the scan model because it aims to describe the state in which a current situation exists. In this context, the study universe of the research has created 1239 university students who continue their bachelor's training under the roof of the Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University School of Sports Sciences, determined with limited possibilities due to global epidemic due to the appropriate sampling technique. The research was carried out with data obtained from 436 volunteer students that can be accessed through distance learning and this number was recorded as the sample size of the study. The study that identifies the variables of gender, class, department and teaching type with the personal information form prepared by the author has used the School Climate Scale for University Students developed by Terzi (2015) as a basic data collection tool. The study also took advantage of the University Trust Measure developed by Özdoğan and Tüzün (2007) with the Sports Measurement Measurement developed by Shentürk (2015) to determine the students' attitudes towards sport and the trust they hear to the university. In light of the findings from the parametric tests applied to the data that showed normal distribution and were highly reliable, the findings found that the students' attitudes towards sport and the trust they hear to the university positively affected the perceptions of the school climate. At the same time, the student’s attitudes towards sport and the trust they hear to the university, together, have been found to be an important contributor (60%) to school climate perceptions. As a result, sports sciences have come to the view that it would be appropriate for students to enhance their school climate perception of their attitudes towards the sport and the trust they hear to the university to be supported in a positive direction by academic and administrative staff.
The aim of this research is to examine the factors that predict the school climate perceptions of undergraduate students in the faculty of sports sciences in a public university. This study, which examines the school climate perceptions of undergraduate sports science students, was shaped in the scanning model because it aims to describe an existing situation as it exists. In this context, sample of this study was constituted 1239 undergraduate students who continue their education at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. The research was carried out with the data obtained from 436 volunteer students who could be reached via distance education, and this number was recorded as the sample size of the study. The School Climate Scale for University Students, developed by Terzi (2015), a basic data collection tool, was used in the study where the variables of gender, class, department and type of education were determined by the personal information form prepared by the author. In the study, the Attitude Toward Sports Scale developed by Şentürk (2015) and the University Confidence Scale developed by Özdogan and Tuzun (2007) were used to determine students' attitudes towards sports and their confidence in the university. In the light of the findings obtained as a result of the parametric tests applied to the data, which are normally distributed and highly reliable, it was determined that the students' attitude towards sports and their confidence in the university positively affect their perceptions of the school climate. At the same time, it was determined that students' attitudes towards sports and their confidence in university are important predictors (60%) on their perception of school climate. As a result, it was suggested that it would be appropriate to support the attitudes towards sports and their confidence in the university positively by the academic and administrative staff in order to increase the perception of the school climate of the students studying in the faculty of sports sciences.
