The most common eating disorders (ED) are anorexia nervosa (AN) and bulimia nervosa (BN). In AN, the individual always believes that he is overweight by restricting food, even if his body is starving. In BN, the individual starts to eat a large amount of food, followed by compensatory behaviors such as strenuous physical exercises, au-tomedica- tions, purgative methods such as self-induced vomiting. In the search for the ideal diet, a new disorder arises as an obsessive pathological behavior characterized by food health, food quality and purity of the diet, leading to important dietary restrictions, called ortorexia nervosa (ON). For this reason, the aim of this study was to verify the profile of nutrition students, as well as the tendency to orthorexia nervosa and body image distortion, using the Body Shape Questionary (BSQ) and Orto-15 questionnaires through a food anamnesis. It was carried out with students of the nutrition course aged between 18 and 25 years of both sexes of Faculdades Integradas de Bauru - FIB - SP. It was observed that 71% were eutrophic, 80% with waist circumference (WC) within the expected, but 71% with a tendency to orthorexia, and 8.5% presented slight concern with body image, 12% had a moderate preoccupation with body image and 8.5% presented serious bodily concern. Thus, it is necessary to pay attention to this public recommending strategies to prevent pictures of eating disorders, mainly ON.
