Abstract:

Purpose: This study was conducted with the aim of determining the opinions of graduate students on medical education, future concerns and professional expectations, and their variability according to gender. Tools and Methods: To study, the Faculty of Medicine took 124 students studying in the last class. The demographic and medical faculty preferences of students, the expectation (preference) characteristics for postgraduate work life, the preference characteristics of specialization education, the professional qualification and self-confidence characteristics departments and an survey consisting of questions that correspond to the content of each department, is applied to students with face-to-face interview technique. The obtained data is assessed by gender, the results are presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentages. Results: It has been found that some demographic and professional expectations of students vary according to gender differences. According to their gender, the age, civic status, and the number of years they studied at the faculty have been statistically significantly distinguished. The postgraduate task was shown to be the only doctor in the place to be done that the girls students were significantly annoying, the majority of students were concerned about being alone with the patient and not being able to win the Medical and Specialist Examination (TUS). The majority of students have found that they think the practical and theoretical education they obtained during their medical education will not be sufficient to carry out their postgraduate professions. The majority of students think that their practical and theoretical training is not sufficient, and are concerned about being alone with the patient and not getting TUS.
