ÖZET: Bu çalışma Ergani ilçesindeki besi sığırcılığı işletmelerinin yapısal durumu ve buna işletmecilerin eğitim ve deneyimlerinin etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla gayeli olarak seçilen ilçe merkezi ve 24 köyde 167 işletmede anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Genel olarak, işletmecilerin profili eğitimi düzeyi ilkokul (%58.1), 18-39 yaş aralığında (ort. 40.8 yaş), 1-7 yıl deneyime sahip (ort. 9.8 yıl) ve işletmedeki birey sayısı ortalama yaklaşık 9 kişiden oluşmaktadır. İşletmelerde ortalama sığır sayısı 23.9 baş olup, okuryazar ve olmayanlarda 22-40 baş iken, lise+ olanlarda 1-3 baş bulunmuştur. Sığır ırklarının dağılımı %40.5 yerli, %58.3 melez ve %1.2 kültür ırkı şeklindedir. Okuryazar olmayanlar yerli (%46.9), okuryazarlar melez ırkı (%58.3) ve eğitim düzeyi lise+ olanlar ise yerli+melez (%61.5) hayvanları tercih etmişlerdir. İşletmecilerin %36.5'i suni ve %63.5'i tabi aşım uygulamaktadır. İşletmelerde en sık görülen hastalıklar, şap-theleriosis (%30.1), ayak tırnak-şap-theleriosis (%22.3) ve ayak tırnak-şap (%18.7) olup, okuryazar olmayan işletmelerde ayak-tırnak (%39.4), okuryazarlarda "ayak tırnak-şap- theleriosis" (%58.3), orta ve lisede şap (%36.4, %38.5) olarak tespit edilmiştir. İşletmelerde periyodik olarak vitamin ve tablet kullanılmakta (%71.9) ve koruyucu aşılama (%97.6) yapılmaktadır. İşletmecilerin beklentileri, desteklemenin artırılması, kredi, veteriner hizmeti, besi materyali ve eğitim hizmeti iken; başlıca sorunlar ise, besi materyalinin ve yemin pahalı olması, destek priminin azlığı ve bunların kombinasyonları şeklinde belirlenmiştir.   Anahtar kelimeler: Besi sığırcılığı, yapısal durum, eğitim, deneyim, Ergani.   ABSTRACT: This study was performed to determine structure of beef farms in Ergani province and effect of education and experience of farmers on this structure. 167 beef farms were surveyed in a community country center and 24 villages chosen intentionally. Farmers' general profile happened to be 58.1% first school educated, 18-39 age (average 40.8 age) and 1-7 year experienced (average 9.8 years). The average household number was 9. Mean beef cattle number of the farms was 23.9. Animal numbers in farm run by literate and illiterate farmers was 22-44. This was 1-3 in farms run by high school and higher educated farmers. Breed distribution was 40.5% native, 58.3% crossbred and 1.2% purebred. illiterate, literate and high school - higher educated farmers preferred to have native (46.9%), crossbred (58.3%) and farmers native and crossbreed (61.5%) animals, respectively. %36.5 of farmers used artificial insemination and 63.5% used natural breeding. The most observed diseases were alum-theleriosis (30.1%), foot-nails problems-alum-theleriosis (%22.3) and foot-nails problems-alum (% 18.7), foot-nails problems was (39.4%) in illiterate's farm. Foot-nails problems-alum-theleriosis" was (58.3%) in literates' farms. Alum was (36.4%, 38.5%) in middle and high school educates' farms. Vitamin and tablet were used (71.9%) regularly in farms and preventive vaccination (97.6%) was applied. The expectations of farmers were increasing subsidizes, credit, veterinary service, feeding material and education. Main problems of farms were expensive feeding material and feed, low subsidizing premium and a combination of all.   Key words: Beef farming, structure situation, education, experience, Ergani

This study was conducted with the aim of determining the structural status of the food farming enterprises in the Ergani district and the impact of the training and experience of the operators on it. For this purpose, a survey was carried out in the district center and in 24 villages in 167. In general, the level of profile education of entrepreneurs in primary school (58.1%), between 18-39 years of age (ort. 40.8 years old, with 1-7 years of experience (ort. 9.8 years) and the number of individuals in the enterprise consists of an average of about 9 people. The average number of cattle in was 23.9 and the number of readers and non-readers was 22-40, while the number of high school+ was 1-3 and the number of readers and non-readers was 22-40. The distribution of cattle races is 40.5 percent indigenous, 58.3 percent melez and 1.2 percent cultural. Non-readers are indigenous (46.9%) and readers are melez race (58%) 3) and those who have a high school+ level preferred indigenous+males (61.5%) animals. 36.5 percent of businessmen are artificial and 63.5 percent are subject to excess. The most common diseases in are cap-theliosis (%30.1), foot-neal-theliosis (%22.3) and foot-neal-theliosis (%18.7) and foot-neal-theliosis (%39.4) in non-reader, and "foot-neal-theliosis" (%58.3), middle and high school cap (%36.4,%38.5) in reader. Vitamin and tablets are periodically used in (71.9%) and protective vaccinations (97.6%) are made.
