Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to study the individual levels of innovation of university students. The sample group of the study consists of 349 (118 women, 231 men) students who study at the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and are voluntarily involved in the research. The research used the "Individual Innovation Scale" developed by Hurt, Joseph and Cook (1977) as a data collection tool and adapted to the Turkish by Sarıoğlu (2014) and the "Personal Information Form" created by researchers. In the analysis of the data obtained in the study, independent groups have been applied t-test and unilateral variance analysis (ANOVA). To determine which statistical differences arise from the result of the one-way variance analysis (ANOVA), the Tukey multi-comparation test was applied to determine which groups arise from. The research has found that the individual level of innovation of students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences is in the "interrogatory" category. In addition, the research has evaluated the variables of gender, age, the study section and the kind of learning. It has been found that participants have statistically significant differences in the division variable in their individual level of innovation.
