Abstract:

In endodontic therapies, the failure to properly determine the root channel size may result in incorrect and insufficient channel preparation, postoperative pain resulting from the lack of channel filling or stumbling, one or several of the disadvantages such as stage formation. Therefore, the necessity of proper preparation of the entrance cavity and proper determination of the work size for sufficient root channel preparation is inevitable. For the purpose of calculating the channel size in endodontide, the number of German radiography has been reduced, time has been earned, and electronic tools have been introduced to the use of dentistry in recent years in order to eliminate my bathing errors. In this work we will talk about the development of electronic apex determining devices, the working principles, the advantages and disadvantages.
