Üniversite Öğrencilerinde Yeme Tutumu ve İlişkili Faktörlerin Belirlenmesi
2023

Abstract:

With the help of size and weight measurements, the body mass index was calculated and evaluated according to World Health Organization’s references. To evaluate the eating attitudes of students, the Food Attitude Test (YTT-26-EAT-26) was used. In addition, a survey to identify the thoughts of individuals about their weights, the conditions of doing or not, and their opinions about their healthy nutrition. The study found that 10% of the samples were low-weight, 16.2% overweight and 2.9% obese. On the other hand, 12.8% of students found eating behavior disorders, which was higher in women than in men. It has been found that eating behavior disorders are more common in students who are overweight and obese. When assessed according to the thoughts of individuals about their weight, it was determined that those who see themselves overweight and obese have a higher rate of eating behavior disorder (p<0.05). In addition, 12.8% of the students had an eating disorder, and this rate was found to be higher in females than males. Eating behavior disorders were found to be more common in overweight and obese students. When the individuals were evaluated according to their weight thoughts, it was determined that eating behavior disorders rate was higher in those who thought themselves as overweight and obese (p<0.05). Individuals' weight thoughts are effective on eating attitudes. Eating behavior disorders in young people should be identified and risk factors that may cause eating behavior disorders should be analyzed
