Amaç: Bu araştırma, hipertansiyon tanısı konulmuş hastaların hipertansiyon bilgi düzeyleri ve ilaç tedavisine uyumları arasındaki ilişkiyi değerlendirmek amacıyla yapıldı. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı-ilişki arayıcı tipteki bu araştırma, Haziran-Eylül 2017 tarihleri arasında Ege Bölgesi’ndeki bir üniversite hastanesinde yapıldı. Olasılıksız rastlantısal örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen, hipertansiyon tanısı konulmuş 193 birey araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturdu. Araştırmada veriler, Hasta Tanıtım Formu, Hipertansiyon Bilgi Düzeyi Ölçeği (HİB-DÖ) ve Antihipertansif İlaç Tedavisine Uyum Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Verilerin analizinde yüzdelik oran, frekans, ortalama, ki-kare, Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney-U testleri ve Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 56.6±9.6 yıl ve hipertansiyon tanı süreleri 7.1±5.6 yıl idi. Araştırmaya katılan hastaların Hipertansiyon Bilgi-Düzey Ölçeği (HİB-DÖ) puan ortalaması 11.9±5.6, Antihipertansif İlaç Tedavisine Uyum Ölçeği puan ortalaması ise 8.0±2.1 olarak bulundu. Katılımcıların %63.7’sinin antihipertansif ilaç tedavisine uyumsuz olduğu saptandı. Sonuç: Bu araştırmada, hipertansiyonlu hastalarda hipertansiyon bilgi düzeylerinin ve antihipertansif ilaç tedavisine uyumlarının düşük olduğu hipertansiyon bilgi düzeylerinin arttıkça antihipertansif ilaç tedavisine uyumlarının azaldığı belirlendi.
Purpose: This study was conducted in order to assess the relationship between the information levels of hypertension patients diagnosed with hypertension and their conformity to drug treatment. Method: This research of the identifier-relationship searcher type was conducted in a university hospital in the Egean region between June and September 2017. 193 individuals diagnosed with hypertension, selected by the unlikely random sampling method, formed the sampling of the study. The data in the study was collected using the Patient Presentation Form, Hypertension Information Level Scale (HIB-DOC) and Antihypertensive Medicine Treatment Compliance Scale. In the analysis of the data; percentage ratio, frequency, average, ki-quare, Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney-U tests and Spearman correlation analysis were used. The average age of participants is 56. 6±9.6 years and high blood pressure diagnosis periods were 7.1±5.6 years. The patient’s hypertension information-level scale (HIB-DÖ) score was 11.9±5.6 and the antihypertensive drug treatment compliance score was 8.0±2.1. 63.7% of participants found that they were uncompatible with antihypertensive medication. Results: This study found that high blood pressure patients had low levels of knowledge and adaptation to antihypertensive medication; the high blood pressure information levels increased and their adaptation to antihypertensive medication decreased.
Aim: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between hypertension knowledge levels and compliance with drug treatment of patients diagnosed with hypertension. Methods: This descriptive-relationship-seeking study was conducted at a university hospital in the Aegean Region between June and September 2017. The sample of 193 individuals diagnosed with hypertension, selected by improbable random sampling method, was the sample of the study. In the study, the data were collected using the Patient Information Form, Hypertension Information Level Scale (HIB-DS) and Antihypertensive Drug Treatment Compliance Scale. In the analysis of the data; percentage rate, frequency, mean, chi-square, Kruskal Wallis, Mann Whitney-U tests and Spearman correlation analysis were used. Results: The mean age of the participants was 56.6±9.6 years and the diagnosis period of hypertension was 7.1±5.6 years. The mean score of Hypertension Information-Level Scale (HIB-DÖ) was 11.9 ± 5.6, and the mean score of Antihypertensive Drug Therapy Scale was 8.0±2.1. It was determined that 63.7% of the participants were incompatible with antihypertensive drug treatment. Conclusions: In this study, hypertension knowledge levels and compliance with antihypertensive drug therapy were low in patients with hypertension; It was determined that as the knowledge levels of hypertension increased, their compliance with antihypertensive drug treatment decreased.
