Kimlik tartışmaları ülkemiz için güncel bir konu olma özelliğini sürdürmektedir. Türkiye’de kimlik üzerine yapılan araştırmalarda, benimsenen kimliğin tespitine yönelik katılımcılara “kendinizi ne olarak hissediyorsunuz? sorusu yöneltilmekte ve “Türk, Türk-Müslüman, Müslüman, Türkiyeli, T.C vatandaşı, insan, diğer” gibi cevaplar alınmaktadır. Dolayısıyla, Türkiye’deki kimlik tartışmalarının daha çok bu cevaplardaki kavramlar üzerinde yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Makale iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde kültürel kimliğin ne olduğu ve nasıl kazanıldığı açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise Türkiye’deki kültürel kimlik tartışmaları incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda incelenen konulardan birincisi, kültürel kimliğin coğrafi faktörlerle açıklanması olan Türkiyelilik kavramıdır. İkinci konu ise millet olmanın gereği olan duygudaşlık, aidiyet, kültürel mensubiyet ve katılma göz ardı edilerek kimliğin anayasal vatandaşlık çerçevesinde açıklanmasıdır. Üçüncü konu ise kültürel kimlik olan Türklüğün etnik kimlik düzleminde ele alınmasıdır. Makalenin üzerinde durduğu temel sorun, Türkiye’de kültürel kimlik konularının tartışmasıyla ilgilidir. Bu bağlamda, dokümantasyon metodunun kullanıldığı makalenin amacı, Türkiye’deki kültürel kimlik tartışmalarını birçok yönü ile sosyolojik olarak incelenmektir.
The identity debate continues to be a current issue for our country. In the research on identity in Turkey, what do you feel like the participants aimed at identifying the adopted identity? The question is addressed and the answers are taken as "Turkish, Turkish-Muslim, Muslim, Turkish, T.C citizen, human, and others". Therefore, it seems that identity discussions in Turkey are more focused on the concepts in these answers. The article consists of two sections. In the first section, we explain what the cultural identity is and how it is gained. In the second chapter, we discussed the cultural identity in Turkey. One of the topics studied in this context is the concept of Turkishism, which is the explanation of cultural identity by geographical factors. The second issue is the disclosure of the identity in the framework of constitutional citizenship by neglecting the emotions, membership, cultural membership and participation that must be a nation. The third issue is that the ethnic identity level of Turkey, which is cultural identity, is addressed. The main issue on which the article stands is about the discussion of cultural identity issues in Turkey. In this context, the purpose of the article in which the documentation method is used is to sociologically study the cultural identity discussions in Turkey in many aspects.
