Curricula in the education system faces the problem of limited working disciplines of pioneers who can set an example for individuals. Individuals' curiosity towards the past can increase their efforts to do something for the future. It is thought that transferring the lifes and inventions of the scientists reflecting our own cultural values to the individuals who are the most important elements of scientific development is an important material. Teaching the lifes and studies of scientists in social studies lesson is in a valuable position in terms of students' interest in science-related subjects. This study has been formed by considering the fact that scientists will have positive reflections on the thoughts of other scientists in their own history and their thoughts about producing and the history of science in the textbooks have been discussed and evaluated. Qualitative research method was preferred in the study. Document analysis form was used for data collection and descriptive analysis and content analysis were used to analyze obtained data. In the textbooks, the history of science is mainly focused on scientists, and it is aimed to educate individuals who can produce solutions to their own problems and to make suggestions about the needs of society. The most important aim in taking the history of science in the textbooks is to educate individuals who are curious, make a study order, make inferences according to the scientific needs of his country and raise conscious and determined individuals. Scientists have been used as role models to achieve this gain.
