Geçmişte doğayı açıklamak, varlığı anlamlandırmak amaçlarına hizmet eden mitoloji zamanla bu işlevinden soyutlansa da kültürel ürünlerde kullanılmaya devam etmiştir. Bütün dünya edebiyatları gibi Türk edebiyatı da başından beri mitolojik kaynaklardan beslenmiştir. İslamiyet öncesinde Tengricilik’ten, Budizm’den, Maniheizm’den beslenen Türk edebiyatına daha sonra Arap – Fars mitolojilerine ait unsurlar girer. Tanzimat sonrasındaysa Batı mitolojisi edebî ürünlerde etkisini göstermeye başlar. Edebî ürünlerde kullanılan mitolojiler, Türk ulusunun etkisi altında kaldığı uygarlıkları işaret eder. Bir psikiyatri profesörü olan Selçuk Kırlı’nın ikinci edebî kitabı olan Mitos, Kara Taşlar ve Ay Işığı, mitolojik temlerin baskın bir biçimde işlendiği bir manzum hikâyedir. Bu çalışmada Mitos, Kara Taşlar ve Ay Işığı kitabının olay örgüsü ortaya konmuş, mitolojik unsurlar ve bu unsurlar arasındaki ilişkiler incelenerek bu kitabın Türk edebiyatındaki yeri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
The mythology, which in the past served the purposes of explaining nature, understanding existence, has been extinguished from this function over time, but it has continued to be used in cultural products. Like all the world literature, Turkish literature has been fed from mythological sources since the beginning. Before Islam, the Turkish literature, which was fed from Tengricism, Buddhism, and Manichism, then enters elements of Arab-Fars mythologies. After Tanzimat, Western mythology begins to show its influence on literary products. The mythologies used in the literary products indicate the civilizations under the influence of the Turkish nation. The second literary book of Selçuk Kırlı, a psychiatrist, Mitos, Black Stones and Moon Light, is a narrative story in which mythological themes are superstitiously processed. In this study, the event line of the Mythos, Black Stones and Moon Light book was revealed, the mythological elements and the relationships between these elements were studied and the place of this book in Turkish literature was attempted to be identified.
