This article focuses on “Situational Aesthetics”, one of the newly emerging concepts in today’s art scene that has been taken on a new face. When examining the subject of situational aesthetics, it is necessary first to review the concept of “aesthetics”. After briefly outlining the formation, development and definitions of aesthetics in the introduction, the situations and environments that are critical of art-aesthetic cohesion are reviewed in the second part of the article. In particular, the attitudes of Duchamp and Dadaists to create a concept of art free of aesthetics and beauty, and the replacement of production with thought and experience are emphasized. Situational aesthetics, which constitutes the main issue of the article, is examined in detail in the third chapter. Under this title, issues such as the transformation of the aesthetic theory into new paradigms in contemporary art environment, the effect factors of the new actors of the art world and the art market in events and situations, the use of methods such as strategy and tactics in the art field are examined.
