Abstract:

This study was conducted to determine whether the Learning Disability Education Program (ÖGEP), applied to children diagnosed with learning disabilities, is effective in reducing the symptoms of learning difficulties. The research employed a quantitative research approach, using a weak experimental method. The research design was based on the "pre-test-post-test single group design." The study population consisted of 40 primary school children in the first stage (grades 1, 2, 3, and 4) attending various state primary schools under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education in the Istanbul districts of Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, and Esenyurt. The study group was composed of 20 children randomly selected from this population, with 10 boys and 10 girls. The Learning Disability Education Program (ÖGEP) used in the research was developed by the researchers. The "Learning Disorder Symptom Screening Test" was used as the data collection tool in the research. The research data were analyzed using the "Dependent Samples T-Test." As a result of the study, it was determined that the children who received the Learning Disability Education Program (ÖGEP) showed a reduction in their learning disability symptoms.
