Bu yazıda Mu’tez el-Hatîb isimli araştırmacının Reddu’l-hadîs min ciheti’l-metn, dirâse fî menâhici’l-muhaddisîn ve’l-usûliyyîn isimli aslı 2009 senesinde hazırlanmış bir doktora tezi olan çalışması hakkında bazı mülahazalarımız kaydedilmiştir. Mu’tez el-Hatîb bu çalışmasında muhaddislerin ve fıkıh usulcülerinin metin tenkidi yöntemlerini incelemek ve karşılaştırmak istemiştir. Usul kitapları hakkında tatminkâr seviyede malumat sunmakla ve titiz ve dikkatli bazı tahliller içermekle birlikte incelediğimiz eserin muhaddislerin metin tenkidi faaliyetleri hakkında önceki araştırmalara herhangi bir katkı sağlamamış, yeni bir bulgu ortaya koyamamış olması eserin en önemli eksikliğidir. Ayrıca müellif muasır çalışmaları mütekaddim/müteahhir ayrımı yapmamakla eleştirmekle beraber kendisinin bu ayrıma pek çok yerde riayet etmeden oldukça hatalı istidlallerde bulunduğu görülmektedir. Yine, yazarın pek çok yerde geç dönem merkezli değerlendirmeler yapıp bunları tüm muhaddislere genellemesi ve muhaddisler ve fukahanın yöntemlerine dair tezat oluşturan tespitler yapması da sorunludur. İçerdiği zengin malumat sebebiyle öğretici sayılabilecek olan eserin metin tenkidi konusunda alt yapısı olmayan okuyucu için aynı zamanda yanıltıcı olabileceğini de belirtmekte fayda vardır.
In this study some comments about the study titled Reddu’l-hadîs min ciheti’l-metn, dirâse fî menâhici’l-muhaddisîn ve’l-usûliyyîn which is originally a PhD thesis prepared in 2009 by Mu’tez el-Hatîb are recorded. Mu’tez el-Hatîb wanted to study the content criticism methods of hadith and jurisprudence scholars and compare them in this study. While offering satisfactory informatin about the methodology books and containing some rigorous and careful analyses, the most important deficieny of this study is that it did not make any contribution to the previous studies on this topic and did not put forward any new finding. Furthermore while the author criticizes the contemporary studies for not discriminating between early and late periods, it is observed that he also does not take into account this difference in many places and derives wrong conclusions. It is also problematic that he makes assessments based on the late period and makes generalizations about all the hadith scholars and makes contradictory evaluations about the methods of hadith and jurisprudence scholars. It is important to note that while this study can be regarded as didactic due to its valuable information, it might also be misleading for those readers who lack a background about content criticism.
