Bu çalışma, Türk muhafazakâr söyleminde medeniyet algısının anlamlandırılması ve medeniyetin sahip olduğu kritik konumun Necip Fazıl Kısakürek figürü üzerinden değerlendirilmesini içermektedir. Çalışma kapsamında Osmanlı son döneminde başlayan modernizasyon sürecinin, Cumhuriyet’e uzanan seyrinde, muhafazakâr düşünce stiline etkileri incelenmiştir. Muhafazakârlığın mihenk taşlarından olan medeniyet nosyonunun süreç içinde farklı siyasal mekanizmalar karşısında buhrana sürüklenen yapısı, çalışma boyunca Kısakürek fikriyatına referansla tartışılmıştır. Çalışma genelinde medeniyet söyleminin Türk muhafazakârlığı için ne anlama geldiği, Türk siyaset geleneğinde muhafazakâr düşüncenin medeniyet algısına nasıl hizmet ettiği ve Necip Fazıl Kısakürek’in söz konusu medeniyet algısında nasıl ve niçin kritik bir figür olduğu gibi sorular yanıtlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Muhafazakâr düşüncenin hem Batı’da hem de Türkiye’deki köklerinin teorik bir çerçevede ele alınmasının ardından, medeniyet söylemine sayısız katkı sunan Necip Fazıl Kısakürek’in eserleri içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Bir kültürlenme hareketi olarak öne çıkan ve ilerleyen süreçte Türk siyasal hayatının, özellikle de sağ siyaset geleneğinin, önemli referanslarından biri haline gelen muhafazakâr düşüncenin medeniyeti nasıl konumlandırdığı günümüz siyasetine de yapılan atıfla gözler önüne serilmeye çalışılmıştır.
This study includes the understanding of the perception of civilization in the Turkish conservative speech and the evaluation of the critical position that civilization has through the figure of Necip Fazıl Shortcut. In the framework of the study, the process of modernization that began in the Ottoman last period, extending to the Republic, has been studied the effects on the conservative thinking style. This study includes understanding the perception of civilization in Turkish conservative discourse and evaluating the critical position of civilization on the figure of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. In this study, the effects of the modernization process, which started in the last period of the Ottoman Empire, on the conservative thought style in the course of the Republic are examined. The structure of civilization, which is one of the milestones of conservatism and which is dragged into the crisis in the face of different political mechanisms in the process, has been discussed with reference to the ideas of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek. Questions such as what does civilization discourse mean for Turkish conservatism in general, how does conservative thought in the Turkish political tradition serve the perception of civilization and why; how does Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's figure become a critical reference in this perception of civilization has been tried to be answered. After handling the origins of conservative thought both in the West and in Turkey through a theoretical perspective, the works of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, who made numerous contributions to the discourse of civilization, have been analysed by content analysis method. It has been tried to reveal with the reference to today's politics how the conservative thought, which became prominent as a culturing movement and which later became one of the important references of Turkish political life, especially the right political tradition, positioned the civilization.
