Abstract:

Introduction and Target: Dentists, one of the most affected professions of the COVID-19 epidemic that affected the whole world, had to take increasing measures according to the critical situation. The aim of this study is to raise awareness of the "old normal" and "new normal" concepts that emerged after the start of vaccination in the COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) pandemic and to analyze the level of anxiety of dentists in this process. Methods and Requirements: The survey was carried out by sending the link link created through the "Google drive" application to doctors. When dental doctors evaluate the routine of using protective equipment in the process of normalization, it was found that almost half (41.7%) continued to use filter-protected masks such as N95/FFP3 in treatments, and the proportion of those who wear protective face and glasses was similar (58.3%) The ratio of doctors who continued to use protective special clothes during their treatment was more (64.1%). It has been found that women’s anxiety levels are significantly higher (p=0,041) than men, and that anxiety levels are decreased (p=0,020) in both sexes after vaccination. PROTECTION and RESULT: When the results of the study were evaluated, the protective measures taken during the normalization period were found to be at a lower level than should be. It is determined that the social perception of the epidemic is approaching the idea that the end of the epidemic. It should not be forgotten that the pandemic is still ongoing, the measures should not be relieved and kept at the level that is necessary.
