Abstract:

The aim of this study is to adapt the Multi-Dimensional Violence Victim Scale developed by Harbin, Kelley, Piscitello and Walker (2018) to the Turkish and to carry out the validity and reliability study. The scale is designed to identify the victims of harassment by students between the ages of 11 and 18. The study included a total of 723 high school and high school students, including 347 girls and 376 men. The psychometric characteristics of the measurement are studied by internal consistency, language validity, standard link validity and verifying factor analysis methods. A verifying factor analysis for the structure validity of the scale has been done and a triple structure that constitutes the sub-dimensions in the original structure of the scale has been verified. The measurement link validity study has found positive meaningful relationships between the multi-dimensional slavery scale and the California slavery scale and the cyber slavery scale. Internal consistency reliability Cronbach alpha ratio was found as .84 for the general scale, while for the lower dimensions as .92 for direct sacrifice, .88 for indirect sacrifice and .88 for estimated sacrifice. The test correlation ratio is .88. Research results have shown that the Turkish form is a valid and reliable measurement tool and can be used in scientific studies to be conducted in Turkey.
