Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the views of the counselor candidates about supervision process which carried out at the fourth grade level of the psychological counseling and guidance undergraduate program. Manisa Celal Bayar University psychological counseling and guidance program senior students are the participants of the study. 16 (8 male, 8 female) volunteer senior students who finished the supervision process succesfully selected through the purposive sampling method. Phenomenological research design which is one of qualitative research methods was used in the study. The data çollected through two separate focus group interviews and analyzed by two experts. The findings point out four themes; the nature of supervisor- supervisee relationship, the quality of the supervision process, contributions of supervision to the counseling process and contributions of supervision to professional-personal development. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of the literature and suggestions were offered to researchers and practitioners.
