Organ transplantation is considered to be a good alternative for improving the quality of life for patients with end stage renal disease and is increased patient quality of life by eliminating many of the limitations caused by the disease. Major depression, anxiety, changes in family roles, psychological problems such as feelings of guilt related to getting someone else's organs can be seen usually in a patient before transplantation. The concerns regarding the surgical procedure, the success of the operation and the transplanted organ will adapt are seen during transplant period. After transplantation, the patients think that their health would be as before, their life would be more active and their life back to normal. In fact, after transplantation, the patient's life will continue with a chronic disease and the patients’ lives the physical, psychological and social difficulties and their quality of life may be negatively affected. In this paper, the physical, psychological and social problems in the transplantation process and the effects on quality of life of these problems will be discussed.
