The purpose of this research is to study the behavior of the teachers candidates towards the environment according to various variables. In the study, the method of screening was used. The sampling of the study consists of 586 teachers candidates selected according to the appropriate sampling management of the non-select sampling methods that are studied at 10 state universities located in different provinces of Turkey. The research was developed by Goldman, Yavetz, and Pe'er (2006) and used the "Environmental Behavior Scale" adapted to the Turkish by East and Yılmaz (2013). The environmental behavior scale consists of 20 substances and five sub-dimensions. The Cronbach alpha reliability ratio of the measure is calculated as 0.85. The study looked at whether there were meaningful differences in terms of independent variables (gender, academic average, mother education level, father education level) with t-test and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA). Teacher candidates’ behavior towards the environment varies significantly by gender, father’s level of education, while mother’s level of education and academic average do not differ significantly. The increase in the level of mother and father education can be given education to non-readers, as it positively affects the recycling efforts of the teacher candidates, becoming more sensitive to the environment consumers.
