Abstract:

The concept of hegemony means the power of the predecessor that determines the functioning of the international system and applies mechanisms of control, rule-making, pressure, persuasion and control to other international actors. There are four different hegemony approaches that directly analyze the concept of hegemony in international relations literature. These hegemonic approaches define the structure of power, order, stability and international relations by different interpretations and methods. On the other hand, the phenomenon of supervision is an approach that addresses modern society through communication and control mechanisms. The surveillance approach is based on the essence of a state or authority monitoring and pressing others for purposes such as obtaining data, controlling, providing control, disciplinating. This approach of surveillance itself has also turned into the point of view that communication technologies have influenced international relations and society in the digital age. This study follows a comprehensive approach to both the concept of hegemony and the supervisory society. The study aimed at interdisciplinary harmony seeks to reveal the applicability of supervisory approaches in hegemonic policies. A connection is established through the power and order of hegemony approaches and the methods of supervision.
