Bir bölgede bulunan araziler bulundukları bölgenin doğal ortam şartlarına göre farklı amaçlar doğrultusunda kullanılabilirler. Fakat her arazi kullanım türünün potansiyeline uygun olarak kullanıldığını söylememiz de mümkün değildir. Özellikle kıyı alanlarında farklı sektörlerin yürüttüğü ekonomik faaliyetlere bağlı olarak yaşanan hızlı nüfus birikimi arazi kullanım türlerini çeşitlendirmiştir. Bu durum ise birçok doğal ve beşeri sorunu beraberinde getirmiş ve getirmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı 1987 ve 2016 yılları arasında Arsuz- Dörtyol arası kıyı alanlarının arazi kullanım değişikliklerini tespit etmektir. 1987 ve 2016 yılları arazi kullanımına ait veriler, ilgili kurum ve kuruluşlardan elde edilerek Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri (CBS) yazılımlarından ArcMap - ArcGIS 10.3 kullanılarak düzenlenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma alanına ait uydu görüntüleri ve yapılan arazi çalışmaları ile arazi kullanımında meydana gelen değişimler tespit edilmiştir. Arsuz- Dörtyol arası kıyı alanlarında 30 yıllık süreçte arazi kullanımında önemli değişikliklerin olduğu görülmüştür. Tarım, orman, mera ve diğer alanlar başlığı altında değerlendirilen kumluk, taşlık vb. alanlarda azalma olurken, yerleşim alanlarında belirgin bir artışın olduğu gözlenmiştir. Araştırma alanında arazi yetenek sınıfları ile arazi kullanımı arasında uyumsuzluk söz konusudur. Sahanın uygun iklim özellikleri, tarım potansiyeli, ulaşım imkanları, giderek artan sanayi faaliyetleri sahada nüfusun hızla artmasına neden olmuştur. Bu durum başta tarım arazilerinin azalması olmak üzere orman tahribatı, alt yapı sorunları, çevre kirliliği gibi birçok soruna neden olmaktadır. Çalışmada tespit edilen problemlere çözüm önerileri sunulmaktadır.
The land located in a region can be used for different purposes according to the natural environmental conditions of the region where they are located. But it is not possible to say that every type of land use is used in accordance with the potential. Specifically in the coastal areas, the rapid population accumulation, which is experienced due to the economic activities of different sectors, has diversified the types of land use. This has brought and brought many natural and human problems. The aim of this study is to identify the changes in land use of the Arzuz-Dörtyol coastal areas between 1987 and 2016. The data of land use in 1987 and 2016 was obtained from the relevant institutions and organizations from the Software for Geographic Information Systems (CBS) ArcMap - ArcGIS 10. 3 is used. We also have detected the satellite images of the work area and the changes that occur in the use of the land and the land work done. There have been significant changes in land use over the course of 30 years in the cross-country areas. Agriculture, forest, forest and other fields are considered under the title of sand, stone, etc. While there is a decline in the areas, there is a significant increase in the settlements. In the field of research, there is an incompatibility between the class of land skill and the use of land. The proper climate characteristics of the field, agricultural potential, transportation facilities, increasing industrial activities have led to the rapid growth of the population in the field. This situation causes many problems, such as forest damage, underground problems, environmental pollution, primarily the reduction of agricultural land. There are solutions to the problems identified in the study.
The lands in a region can be used for different purposes according to the natural environment conditions of the area. Especially in coastal areas, the rapid increasing of population due to the economic activities driven by different sectors has diversified the land use types. This situation brings many natural and human problems. This study aims to analyze the land use alteration of the coastal areas between Arsuz and Dörtyol from 1987 to 2016. Data related to land use between 1987 and 2016 are obtained from related institutions and foundations and then they were regulated using ArcMap - ArcGIS 10.3 from Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. Moreover, alteration in land use was determined by field studies and satellite imagery of study area. Results of study shows substantial alteration in land use during 30-years period in coastal areas between Arsuz and Dörtyol. While agricultural, forest, pasture and other areas under the head of sandy, stony etc. has observed as decreasing situation, residential areas has prominently observed as increasing. There is a discordance between land capability classes and land use in the research area. The favorable climatic characteristics of the area, agricultural potential, transportation facilities and increasing industrial activities caused the population to increase rapidly. This situation causes many problems such as forest destruction, infrastructure problems and environmental pollution, especially the decreasing of agricultural lands. At the end of study, solutions for determined problems are proposed.
