Türk dilinde sözcük kök veya gövdelerinin eklerle birleşmesi, ses uyumları doğrultusunda gerçekleşmektedir. Bir sözcükte yer alan ünlü ya da ünsüz sesler, aynı sözcükte bulunan diğer sesler üzerinde etkili olabilmektedir. Türkiye Türkçesi yazı dilinde bazı istisnalar olsa da ses uyumları daha belirginken, ağızlarda bu durum değişmektedir. Bazı ses olaylarından dolayı ağızlarda standart dilin kuralları dışında kalan özelliklerle karşılaşmaktayız. Bu özellikler, bazen Türk dilinin eski bir döneminin ses özelliklerinin kalıntısı da olabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Gaziantep ağzında belli bir bölgede görülen ünlü yuvarlaklaşması ve bu yuvarlaklaşmaların sebepleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Gaziantep, coğrafi ve tarihî konumu dolayısıyla Türk dili ve kültürü içinde bazı farklılıklar taşıyan ve önem arz eden bir ilimizdir. Türklerin bölgede yerleşmeye başlamasıyla birlikte Gaziantep ağzının özellikleri oluşmaya başlamıştır. Tarihî bilgilere göre Gaziantep’e Oğuz boyunun en az on sekizi yerleşmiştir. Bu durum, Gaziantep’in söyleyiş özelliklerine de yansımıştır. Bu tarihî derinlik ve coğrafi özellikleri dolayısıyla Gaziantep ağzı ses ve şekil bakımından farklı bir zenginlik kazanmıştır.
In the Turkish language, the combination of the word roots or bodies with additives occurs according to the sound compatibilities. Famous or unknown sounds in a word may be influential on other sounds in the same word. Though there are some exceptions in the Turkish writing language, the sound compatibility is more evident, this situation changes in the mouths. Because of some sound events, we face features in the mouth that remain outside the standard language rules. These features can sometimes be the remainder of the sound characteristics of an ancient era of the Turkish language. This study will focus on the famous rotation seen in a certain area in the mouth of Gaziantep and the causes of these rotations. Gaziantep, due to its geographical and historical location, is a province that carries some differences in the Turkish language and culture and attributes importance. As the Turks began to settle in the region, the characteristics of the Gaziantep mouth began to form. According to historical information, Gaziantep has been settled at least eighteen of the Son's height. This also reflects the characteristics of Gaziantep’s speech. Due to this historical depth and geographical characteristics, the Gaziantep mouth has gained a different wealth in terms of sound and shape.
In the Turkish language, word roots or stems are combined with affixes according to their phonetic harmony. Vowel or consonant sounds in a word can be effective on other sounds in the same word. The merger between the sounds in Turkish is in accordance with the rules of sound harmony. Although there are some exceptions in the written language of Turkey Turkish, this situation changes in dialects, while the phonetic harmony is more pronounced. Due to some sound events, we encounter features that are outside the rules of the standard language in dialects. These features can sometimes be the remnants of the phonetic features of an old period of the Turkish language. In this study, the vowel rounding seen in a certain region in the mouth of Gaziantep and the reasons for these roundings will be emphasized. Gaziantep is an important province with some differences in Turkish language and culture due to its geographical and historical location. As the Turks began to settle in the region, the characteristics of the Gaziantep dialect began to emerge. According to historical information, at least eighteen of the Oghuz tribes settled in Gaziantep, and this situation was also reflected in the pronunciation characteristics of the region. Due to this historical depth and geographical location, Gaziantep dialect has gained a different richness in terms of sound and shape.
