Abstract:

Semiotics is a discipline with upper-language characteristics that tries to reveal the meanings and patterns of linguistic and nonlingual indicators.The fact that the limits of semiotics in terms of field of study are quite wide makes it possible to carry out semiotic studies in almost every field.Anthropology, archaeology, sociology, music, cinema and advertising areas, especially linguistics, are the main areas that can be counted at this point.Among the main reasons for choosing this book is that architecture that goes beyond predictions from the perspective of semiotics is discussed.The book is based on the meaning and function values of architecture and architectural structures in terms of semiotics, which constitutes the translation of certain parts of Umberto Eco's La Struttura Assente, which is competent in the field of semiotics and has given many works, and the author's opinions on the book in different sources.
