ÖN ERGENLİK DÖNEMİNDE SOSYAL DUYGUSAL ÖĞRENME BECERİLERİ, AKRAN ALGILARI VE EBEVEYN TUTUM ALGILARININ İNCELENMESİ

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, 12-15 yaş arasında ön ergenlik döneminde bulunan ergenlerin, sosyal duygusal öğrenme becerilerini, akran algısını ve anne-baba tutum algısını çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. İlişkisel araştırma modelindeki araştırmanın örneklem grubuna basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 484 ergen dahil edilmiştir.  Bu kapsamda veri toplama araçlarından “Anne Baba Tutum Ölçeği”,Genellenmiş Akran Algısı Ölçeği” ve “Sosyal Duygusal Öğrenme Becerileri Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, ergenlerin anne-baba tutum algıları ve sosyal duygusal öğrenme becerileri yaş ve cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermektedir. Sosyal duygusal öğrenme becerileri yüksek olan ergenler yüksek akademik ortalamalara sahiptirler. Ebeveynlerini kabul edici olarak algılayan ergenlerin akademik ortalamaları daha yüksek; baskıcı ve otoriter olarak algılayan ergenlerin akademik ortalamaları ise daha düşüktür. Korelasyon analizlerine göre; anne ve babalar kabul edici ve destekleyici olarak algılandıkça akranlarla olan ilişkiler de daha olumlu algılanmaktadır. Buna ek olarak sosyal duygusal öğrenme becerileri arttıkça akran ilişkileri daha olumlu, ebeveynler daha destekleyici ve daha az otoriter olarak algılanmaktadır.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between social emotional learning skills, peer perception and perceptions of parental attitudes of adolescents between the ages of 12-15 years in terms of various variables. The research was conducted in relational research model. The sample group is included 484 adolescents who were selected by simple random sampling method. In this, context,"Parent Attitude Scale", "Generalized Peer Perception Scale" and "Social Emotional Learning Skills Scale" were used as data collection tools in the research. According to research results, parental attitude perceptions and social emotional learning abilities of adolescents differ significantly according to age and gender. Adolescents with high social emotional learning abilities have high academic averages. Adolescents who perceive their parents as having an acceptable attitude have higher academic averages; adolescents who perceived as oppressive and authoritarian have a lower academic mean. Correlation analysis revealed that the relationships with peers were perceived more positively as parents perceived as supportive and supportive. In addition to, as social emotional learning skills increase, parents are perceived as more supportive and less authoritarian and peer relations are perceived as more positive.
