Abstract:

The aim of this study is to identify the effects of the drop-watering support program in the province of Edirne on the production of silagic eggs and to perform an economic and efficiency analysis of silagic eggs in benefiting and not benefiting from the support and to identify their technical effectiveness. The survey was carried out of 22 silage eggs producers who supported between 2012 and 2017, and the survey was carried out with producers who did not support in the same number and similar characteristics. Production costs, gross and net profits related to silagic eggs have been revealed. The method of data coverage in the performance analysis, the method of matching the trend score in the effect analysis, has been used. Production costs in total supported enterprises 1538.20 TL and 1, in non-supported enterprises 1597. 9 is defined as 1. In companies that receive and do not receive gross profit support, 865.03 TL is calculated as 1 and 483.18 TL is calculated as 1 respectively. The total technical activity was 0.894, the net technical activity was 0.958 in supporting enterprises. In non-supported enterprises, the total technical activity was 0.846, while the net technical activity was 0.913. According to the results of economic analysis, it is found that silagic eggs are more profitable in supporting enterprises. According to the results of the event analysis, the foundations have found that supported work more efficiently than non-supported. Although the input use is almost the same in both business groups and the sales price is the same, the difference in efficiency and profitability is due to the efficient use of water by producers supporting.
