Despite being among the environmental problems, noise pollution, which is less important in terms of nature than others, has become a major problem in urban life. The increasing noise issue with the increase in industrial and urbanization activities is a major danger, especially due to the damage it causes to human health, and is reacted by the public. One of the places where noise is seen in many different areas is the market places. The noise that begins with the marketers arriving in early hours continues with their loud screams to make sales. In addition, the arrival of customers to the market places by vehicles for shopping causes additional noise pollution. In this study, noise measurements were made for three months at 11 points selected in a marketplace located in the Nilüfer district of Bursa in Görükle district. Measures were carried out on the specified points in the months March-April-May 2019 on Saturday morning, afternoon and evening hours. During the measurement, the greatest and smallest values were recorded. The results obtained were compared with the limit values set in the Environmental Noise Assessment and Management Regulation (CGDYY) and the limit values passed by points were identified in various recommendations for the reduction of noise.
