Her edebiyat geleneği, içinde bulunduğu çağın şartlarına, yaşadığı toplumun ihtiyaçlarına, zevklerine cevap verdiği sürece var olur. Dolayısıyla edebiyat toplumun beklentilerini karşılayabilmeli yani toplumla iç içe olmalıdır. Zaten edebiyatın bireysel ve toplumsal olmak üzere iki yönlü bir cephesinin olduğu aşikârdır. Tarihi süreç içerisinde ortaya çıkan edebiyat geleneklerinde toplumun duyguları, düşünceleri, hayalleri, normları, değerleri, toplumun sözcüsü konumunda olan sanatçılar vasıtasıyla dile getirilmiştir. Edebiyat tarihimizde önemli bir yere sahip olan âşıklar da toplumlarının gören gözü, işiten kulağı ve konuşan dili olmuşlardır. Toplumlarının sözcüsü konumunda olan âşıklar, bireysel duyuş, düşünüş ve inanışlarının yanı sıra ortaya koymuş oldukları ürünlerle toplumlarının ortak değerlerini, sosyal yaşamlarını, yaşanan önemli olayları kendi sanat süzgeçlerinden geçirerek dile getirmişler, toplumun söyleyemediklerini ya da söylemeye cesaret edemediklerini toplum adına ifade etmişlerdir. XX. yüzyıl âşıklık geleneği içerisinde adındançok söz edilen sanatçılardan biri şüphesiz Âşık Veysel’dir. Dili kullanmaktaki ustalığı, işlediği konulara olan hâkimiyeti, duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade edebilmekteki başarısı, sazının gücü ve şiirlerinin teknik yönden mükemmelliği onu yaşadığı çağınönemli sanatçılarından biri yapmıştır. Bu yönüyle o, gerek halkın gerekse de devlet adamlarının teveccühünü kazanmıştır. Bütün gerçek sanatçılar gibi hassas bir ruha sahip olan Âşık Veysel de yetmiş dokuz yıllık hayat serüveninde yaşadığı toplumun sosyal yaşamını, dönemin mühim olaylarını, toplumun ahlâk anlayışını, çalışmanın gerekliliğini, zamanın sosyal kurumlarını ve bunların toplum içerisindeki işlevlerini, vatan ve millet sevgisini, birlik ve beraberlik anlayışını, edebî bir üslûpla şiirlerinde dile getirmiştir. Veysel, işlediği bu konularla eserlerinde toplumsal hayatı ön plana çıkarmaya çalışmıştır. Makalede, sıralanan bu hususlar onun şiirlerinden örneklerle başlıklar hâlinde açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır..
Every literary tradition exists as long as it responds to the conditions of the age in which it is, to the needs of the society in which it lives, to the pleasures of it. Therefore, literature must be able to meet the expectations of society, that is, it must be within the society. It is clear that literature already has a two-sided front, both individual and social. In the literary traditions emerging in the historical process, the feelings, thoughts, dreams, norms, values of society are expressed through artists who are in the position of the speaker of society. In our literary history, lovers have also become the viewing eye, the hearing ear, and the speaking language of their communities. The lovers who are in the position of speaker of their societies, with their individual senses, thoughts and beliefs as well as with the products they have presented their societies’ common values, social lives, important events they have experienced through their own artists, expressed in the name of the societies what they cannot say or dare not to say. The XX. One of the artists in the century’s love tradition is undoubtedly Love Veysel. His mastery in the use of language, his success in expressing his sovereignty, his feelings and his thoughts on the subjects he works, his strength and his poetry’s technical excellence have made him one of the most important artists of the time he lived. In this way, he has won the power of the people and the people of the state. As all real artists have a sensitive spirit, Love Veysel also expressed the social life of the society in which he lived for seven hundred and nine years, the important events of the period, the moral understanding of the society, the need for work, the social institutions of the time and their functions within the society, the love of the country and the nation, the understanding of unity and solidarity, in his poems in a literary style. Veysel, with these topics he worked, tried to put his social life in front of his work. In the article, these items will be tried to be explained in terms of titles with examples of his poems.
