Abstract:

The concept volume used in the demonstration of the relationships between the concepts is one of the concepts association tools that can be used in science. The concept volume is the circular distribution of all the concepts of a subject around the main concepts according to the relationship between them. In this study, a summary of the concept was made. The purpose of the research is to ensure the introduction of the concept volume, which is the concept relating tool, with examples. In this framework, the results of several studies on the volume of concepts and examples of the volume of concepts have been presented over the past six years. The study of the conceptual volume studies resulted in a conceptual linking tool used in the science education,. The concept volume has been found to have a positive impact on determining the relationship between the concepts. It is also determined that in determining the relationship between the concepts the volume of the concepts and the map of the concepts have shown similar levels of success. In addition to these, the concept volume drawing is found to be difficult for the participants in the drawings because of the oval or circular. It is recommended that the concept volume of the drawing in the educational environment be used in advance.
