Abstract:

Objective: Family medicine is the first medical contact point of the health system. This is why family doctors are often confronted with legal cases in their professional practices. The aim of this study is to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of the family doctors in the first stage on the subject of the judicial report. Tools and Methods: The universe of our work is formed by the 346 Family Health Unit located within the Kahramanmaraş province borders. The sample size was calculated with 5% error share, 95% confidence range and 10% data loss probability as 183 people and 184 people were included in the study. To those who agree to participate in the study, the 15 question survey form developed by the researcher with 10 ingredients of the liquid scale was applied face to face. Statistical analysis of data SPSS 20. The 0 package program is evaluated. The statistical significance level is considered p<0,05. The findings: 127 of 184 doctors involved in our study were men (69%) and 57 (31%) women. The average age of the doctors was 39,64±7,7. 80,9% of participants did not find the legal medical education they received before graduation sufficient for their professional life. The number of accidents in the area is 33.2 per cent. The level of awareness of the doctors on the subject of judicial reports was determined as "good". The result: the level of education in the knowledge, attitude and behavior of family doctors against judicial cases should be increased, the rotations of "judicial medicine" or regular judicial medical training should be planned in the course of medical and professional training.
