Bu çalışmada mitik düşüncenin din ve psikolojiyle olan ilişkisi tahlil edilmeye çalışıldı. İnsan, varoluşundan bu yana merak ve hayret duygusuyla evrene yönelerek evrende olup bitenler hakkında fikir sahibi olmaya çalışır. Bu gerek salt gözlemle gerekse deneyler aracığıyla gerçekleşir. Evren hakkında verilerin toplanılması ve yargılarda bulunulması belirsizliğin getirdiği korku ve gerginliği aşma çabasındandır. İnsan evren hakkında bilgilere sahip olarak evrene hakim olmayı amaçlar. Bu istek; insanı atılıma ve arayışa sürükler. Arayış süreci, insanın var olana ait anlamları gün yüzüne çıkarma çabasıdır. Arkaik insandan bu yana bitmeyen anlam arayışı, tarihsel süreç içerisinde farklı yönlere evrilerek insan yaşamına yeni anlamlar kazandırır. Anlam arayışı psikolojik minvalde merak ve hayret duygusuyla başlar ve din, kültürel değerler ve tarihsel deneyimlerle sentezlenerek anlamlara dönüşür. Arayış sürecinde insan, bir yandan hayret duygusunu gidermeye çalışırken bir yandan da varolma nedenini bulmaya çalışır. Bu süreç, insanı eyleme iten bir itki, bir güç olduğu gibi insanın bilişsel etkinliklerini aktifleştiren de bir nedendir. Bilişsel etkinliklerin kullanılmasıyla ilgi ve ihtiyaçlar davranışa dönüşerek kimlik kazanımı gerçekleşir. Bilişsel etkinliklerin ortak temada toplanmasıyla sosyal kimlik ortaya çıkar. Sosyal kimlik kazanımında, bugünün şartları ve tarihsel deneyimler önemli bir role sahiptir. Gerek bireysel kimlik gerekse sosyal kimliğinde mahiyetinde mitik düşünce kendine bir yer edinir. Masal dinlerken ya da bilim kurgu filmi izlerken bireyin rahatlaması, on üç sayısının uğursuz kabul edilip o sayının kullanılmaması, nazardan korunmak için nazar boncuğu takılması mitik düşüncenin en somut göstergelerindendir.
In this study, we tried to evaluate the relationship of mythical thinking with religion and psychology. Man has since existed with a sense of curiosity and admiration toward the universe, trying to get an idea of what is happening in the universe. If necessary, it will be done through simple observation. The gathering and judgment of data about the universe is an effort to overcome the fear and tension brought by uncertainty. Man intends to dominate the universe by having knowledge of the universe. This is a desire for the man to be thrown and searched. The process of searching is an attempt to bring the meaning of what exists to the face of the day. The unfinished search for meaning from the ancient man, evolving into different directions within the historical process, gives new meaning to the human life. The search for meaning begins with a sense of curiosity and admiration in the psychological minval and becomes meaning by synthesizing with religion, cultural values and historical experiences. In the process of searching, man, on the one hand, tries to remove the feeling of surprise while on the other hand, tries to find the reason for existence. This process is a momentum that pushes a person to act, as it is a force, as it is a cause that activates the cognitive activities of a person. With the use of cognitive activities, interests and needs are converted into behavior and identity gain is achieved. Social identity is revealed by the gathering of cognitive activities in a common topic. In achieving social identity, today’s conditions and historical experiences play an important role. If it is necessary for individual identity, the mythical thought takes a place in its social identity. When listening to a fairy tale or watching a science fiction film, the relaxation of the individual is one of the most concrete indicators of mythical thought, the unfortunate number of thirteen and the unused use of that number, the sealing of the narcissus to protect from the narcissus.
A person tries to have an idea about what is going on in the universe by turning to the universe with a sense of wonder and amazement since its existence. The collection and interpretation of data about the universe is done to overcome fear and tension caused by uncertainty. Man wants to have the knowledge to dominate the universe. This request; it drags man to breakthrough and search. The search for meaning that has not ended since the archaic man; it gives new meaning to human life by evolving in different directions in the historical process.
