Recent studies have shown that the importance and applicability of traditional and complementary medicine has increased. The significant supporting contribution of modern medicine has also accelerated the growth of related therapies and therapies in the Western countries. With the influence of the consequences of traditional and religious beliefs, the most commonly used complementary medicine in our country is wet cup therapy (hacamate). This method used for various diseases and disorders of the skeletal-muscular system is rapidly spread among athletes and fitness professionals in terms of application and implementation. But the point that should be noted and often neglected is that this method of therapy is an invasive attempt and is necessary to be done by people with absolute competence. The aim of our study is to examine the important anatomical points that should be taken into consideration, especially for the practice of cup therapy in the foot area in athletes.
