Hezârfen Hüseyin Efendi’nin XVII. yüzyılda yazdığı Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb, diğer hastalıklarla beraber salgın hastalıklardan korunma yollarını ele alan ve salgın hastalıkların tedavisi için önerilerde bulunan Türkçe tıp yazmalarından biridir. Hezârfen Hüseyin Efendi; eserinde tavsiye ettiği tedavi yöntemlerinde Arap, Acem, Rum ve Yunan tabiplerinden alıntılar yapmış, onlara atıflarda bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhân ve’t-Tabîb’in Bosna Hersek Gazi Hüsrev Kütüphanesi R.986’da kayıtlı olan nüshasındaki veba , taun, cüzzam, çiçek, frengi, kızamık, kolera ve sıtma salgın hastalıklarına önerilen tedavi yöntemleri örneklendirilmiş ve sınıflandırılmıştır. Böylelikle bilim tarihi, tıp tarihi ve özellikle de ilaç bilimi tarihi çalışmalarına katkıda bulunulması amaçlanmıştır. Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb’de salgın hastalıkların tıbbî tedavi yöntemi olarak bitkisel ve hayvansal ürünler ile taş ve cevherlerin bazen tek başına kullanılmasının, bazen de belli oranlarda bir araya getirilerek mürekkep ilaç hâlinde kullanılmasının önerildiği tespit edilmiştir. Önerilen mürekkep ilaçların yapımında her bir maddenin miktarı, nasıl hazırlanacağı, nasıl kullanılacağı, varsa yan etkileri, biliniyorsa kim tarafından önerildiği belirtilmiştir. Bunun dışında kan alma yöntemi de bir salgın hastalık olan cüzzam hastalığının tedavisi için önerilen tıbbî tedavi yöntemlerinden biridir. Ayrıca Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb’de salgın hastalıklar için az da olsa halk hekimliği uygulamalarının önerildiği tespit edilmiştir. Ancak yine de Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb bir halk hekimliği ürünü değil, bilimsel bir tıp kitabıdır.
The 17th Lord of Hussein. He wrote in the century Tuhfetü'l-Erîbi'n-Nâfia li'r-Rûhânî and't-Tabîb is one of the Turkish medical writings that discuss the ways of protecting against epidemic diseases along with other diseases and in recommendations for the treatment of epidemic diseases. He is the one who gives righteousness, and he is the one who gives righteousness, and he is the one who gives righteousness, and he is the one who gives righteousness. In this study, Tuhfetü'l-Erîbi'n-Nâfia li'r-Rûhân and't-Tabîb's Bosnia and Herzegovina Gazi Hüsrev Library R.986 has been sample and classified the methods of treatment recommended for diseases of veba, taun, cüzzam, flower, frengi, cramps, cholera and stamina epidemic. Thus, it is intended to contribute to scientific history, medical history, and especially medical history studies. It has been found that in Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî and’t-Tabîb as a method of medical treatment of epidemic diseases, the use of plant and animal products and stones and covers sometimes alone, sometimes combined in certain proportions, is recommended to be used in the form of peanut medicine. The quantity of each substance in the manufacture of the recommended paint medications, how to prepare, how to use, if there are side effects, if known, is indicated by who it is recommended. In addition, the method of taking blood is also one of the recommended medical treatments for the treatment of a epidemic disease. It is also found that Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî and’t-Tabîb are recommended public medical practices for epidemic diseases. But it is not a public medicine product, but a scientific medicine book.
The work named Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb written in the 17th century by Hezârfen Hüseyin Efendi is one of the Turkish medical manuscripts that deals with the prevention of epidemic diseases and makes recommendations for the treatment of epidemic diseases. Hezârfen Hüseyin Efendi referred to Arab, Persian, Rum and Greek physicians in the treatment methods he recommended in his work and made references to them. In this study, the recommended treatment methods for plague, taun, leprosy, smallpox, syphilis, measles, cholera and malaria epidemics in the copy of Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb registered in R.986 of Bosnia Gazi Husrev Library are exemplified and classified. In this way, it is aimed to contribute to the history of science, the history of medicine, and especially to the history of pharmaceutical science. In Tuhfetü’l- Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb, it has been determined that it is recommended to use herbal and animal products as well as stones and ores as a medical treatment method, sometimes alone, and sometimes as a composition medicine by mixing them in certain proportions. In the making of these suggested composition medicine preparations; the amount of each substance, how to prepare it, how to use it, if any, its side effects, if known, by whom it is recommended, are also denoted. In addition, venesection method is one of the medical treatment methods recommended for the treatment of leprosy, which is an epidemic disease. It has been also determined that folk medicine practices are recommended for epidemic diseases in Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb. However, Tuhfetü’l-Erîbi’n-Nâfia li’r-Rûhânî ve’t-Tabîb is not a product of folk medicine, but a scientific medical manuscript.
