Abstract:

While the agricultural policies implemented so far in Turkey are aimed at increasing production, problems such as the financial burden that these policies bring to the public resources and the failure to reach the target audience have arisen. In this study, talks with producers in the field of research revealed how well agricultural policies are known by the target audience, and the views and expectations of producers about the policies. The main material of the research is the primary data collected by the survey method from the producers living in the 108 villages of the Tokat Ili Central District. 50% of these villages have been surveyed in 54 villages. 540 manufacturers, including 10 producers from each village, have created a sample volume. When all the findings are examined in general, it appears that producers are not satisfied with the implemented agricultural policies, complain about the lack of agricultural infrastructure, and find their agricultural support insufficient. These are some of the negative consequences that producers are unable to survive with their agricultural income, that the agricultural consultancy system is not sufficiently placed, and that producers agree that the resources used in agriculture are not fairly used. To eliminate these negative consequences, the views, needs and demands of farmers and the participation of farmers should be identified and taken into account on a micro-based platform, such as workshops, seminars, forums, which will be held at regular intervals, and should be directed to agricultural policies according to these needs, opinions and demands.
