Abstract:

Negative environmental conditions lead to a decrease in semen’s planting power and a prolongation of the planting period. The problems encountered during planting lead to a decrease in the development of the fide while the fides obtained from healthy seeds show better development. Therefore, the prior applications that increase the grass in the seeds are important. The priming application is made in the form of raising the seeds in the seeds for a certain period of time. Carpets in a study aimed at determining the effects of priming and NaCl stress applications on some seed properties (Citrullus Lanatus cv. The seeds obtained from the 'Crimson Sweet' plants have been subjected to control (priming and NaCl not applied), different priming (0, 50, 100 μM melatonin) and salt stress (0, 50 mM, 100 mM NaCl) applications. In the trial, measurements made on the grinding rate, speed, hypokotyl, radicular length parameters resulted in improvement with priming applications and quality parameters were found to be reduced with NaCl stress. 50 μM of melatonin doses in reducing the effect of NaCl stress have shown the most positive effect, while 0 μM of melatonin has shown the least effect.
