Abstract:

This study in Mardin, Gaziantep and the provinces of Sanlıurfa, Prays oleae (Bern.It was conducted in 2001-2002 with the aim of determining the population change and infection rate. Sexually attractive traps were hanged in the gardens in the beginning of April. The hole was first checked twice a week, and once a week after the first bird was captured. In the controls, the puppets arrived in the hole were recorded. Adults captured in the hole have been drawn population curves according to the years and gardens. Three times a year, the sample was taken to determine the damage rate. For the detection of leaves and flowers damages, 10 trees in each garden and 15-20 cm lengths in four different directions of each tree, and 10 trees in each garden and 5 fruits in different directions of each tree (20 fruits in each tree) were controlled for fruit damages. The Ergin flight began in the second week of April; the Ergin flight continued until the middle of June, mixing the 1st and 2nd flights. The third edition of the adult exit began in the second week of September and continued until the middle of November, and the damage was determined by 3 editions. The damage rate varies according to gardens and plants, but in the leaves is determined to be 3-5%, in the flowers 0.3-3% and in the fruits 0.5-3%. The study has found that P. oleae is potentially harmful in the GAP area.
