Cuma namazı Müslümanların haftada bir defa olmak üzere Cuma günleri sadece camilerde ve cemaat halinde kılabildikleri farz bir namazdır. Bu namaz İslâm dünyasında Müslümanlarca önemsenmekle ve büyük cemaatler halinde kılınmakla beraber hakkında yanlış bir inanış da bulunmaktadır. Buna göre üç kere üst üste Cuma namazına gitmemesi kişiyi münafık yapmakta veya onu dinden çıkarmaktadır. Dolayısıyla iki hafta gidilmese bile üçüncü hafta mutlaka gidilmeli ve söz konusu duruma düşmekten kurtulmalıdır. Esasen üç kere Cuma namazına gitmemenin bu olumsuz sonucu ile ilgili sahih rivayetler mevcuttur. Ancak bu rivayetlerin, Cuma namazının önemini gösterdikleri açık olduğu gibi onu hafife almanın bir gerekçesi olarak sunulamayacakları da izaha muhtaç değildir. Yine Ehl-i sünnet inancının genel ilkeleri açısından da bu rivayetlerin yanlış anlaşıldığı görülmektedir. Buna göre namazın veya herhangi bir farzın terki, bireyin Müslümanlığının kalitesini ve değerini düşürmekle beraber onu dinin dışına çıkarmamaktadır.

But it is not necessary to explain that these rivers will not be presented as a reason to take it light as they clearly show the importance of Friday’s prayer. In other words, it is clear that the principle of faith is misunderstood. Therefore, the abandonment of the prayer or any farce does not take it out of the religion by reducing the quality and value of the individual's Muslimity.

According to this, not praying Friday prayer three times in a row makes one a hypocrite, thus causing one to renounce the religion. Therefore, if Friday Prayer is not performed for two weeks, it should definitely be performed in the third week to avoid falling into the aforementioned condition. In fact, there are authentic narratives of the negative result of not performing the Friday prayer three times. However, it is clear that these narrations show the importance of Friday prayer and cannot be the basis and justification of being lazy and reckless about this prayer. Again, it is seen that these narrations are misunderstood in terms of general principles of Ahl al-Sunnah belief. According to this, the abandonment of prayer or any religious duty decreases the quality and value of the individual's belief, but does not expel him from religion.
