Over the past two centuries, serious investigations on the history of science have been carried out at universities and institutions located in Europe. But the number of western scientists who have made myth about the place of Islamic civilization in the history of sciences is quite small. It is clear that there are a limited number of contemporary researchers who are engaged in scientific history in their Islamic countries, and some of them work at European universities. One of these scientists is Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, who died in recent years. F. Sezgin has gained an important place worldwide with its equipment in its special field. It has written works about the contribution of Islamic science and technology to the European civilization. Islam has also rejoiced the main sources of science history. In our country, F. There are very few researches on the subject of Sezgin. By 2019, the number of detailed monographs and even scientific research in the nature of the thesis relating to the state translation, scientific experience and work is insufficient. But the same year, with the proclamation of the Year of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, a scientific set of life on the subject is overwhelming. In various cities and universities in our country, conferences, symposiums and a number of panels related to F. Sezgin have been held. In addition, articles have been published in academic journals. But the biography of the deceased F. Sezgin, who has almost all of his nine-three-year life, has not been fully addressed to science history, especially Islamic science history. The environment in which he grows has not been assessed, the relationship with his teachers that influence and shapes his scientific attitude. The idea of the Creative Age, which is opposed to the conception of the Renaissance dictated by Western-oriented history, has been expressed superficially. This study consists of a general assessment of F. Sezgin's short life history and views on the history of sciences, who made important studies on Islamic science history and contributed to the development of this area. First the life of F. Sezgin was studied with its main lines and then the views on the history of science were discussed. Thus F. The aim is to interpret the memories that form the turnpoint of Sezgin’s life by a scientific method and to provide short and clear information about his life to the service of researchers in a easily accessible way. The article has been prepared by F. Sezgin in various times and is based on anecdotes, memories and his own works on the subject. At the time they are needed, the research has been carried out.

Sezgin have been organized in various cities and universities of our country. In addition, articles have been published in academic journals. However, the biography of the late F. Sezgin, who devoted almost all of his ninetythree years of life to the history of science, especially to the history of Islamic science, has not been fully addressed. The environment in which he grew up and his relationship with his teachers, who influenced and shaped his scientific attitude, were not evaluated. The idea of the Creative Age, which opposes the Renaissance perception dictated by Western-oriented historiography, is expressed superficially. This research consists of a general evaluation of F. Sezgin's short biography and his views on the history of science, which makes important studies about Islamic history of science and contributes to the development of this field. For this reason, F. Sezgin's life will be examined firstly and then his views on the history of science have been discussed. Thus, it is aimed to interpret the memories that constitute the turning point of F.
