Abstract:

This study examines the health and safety of workers migrants from Syria in Turkey. The main objective is to identify what factors affect the health and safety of Syrian immigrant workers at work. In the study, the data collected from the quality data collection methods through the document review was analyzed by content analysis. In the analysis of the content, the Maxqa 2020 analysis program has been used. In the study, 31 copies (4 top codes and 27 subcodes) were coded in the content title/subtitle. The codes in the study were categorized as parameters of the immigration determinism of Syrian immigrant workers, the construction of Syrian immigrant workers and the working life of Syrian immigrant workers. The categories are also submitted and interpreted as the local and universal appearances of Syrian immigrant labour and the repeated work experiences of Syrian immigrant workers. According to the findings of the study, unregistered work, labour exploitation, low wages, long hours of work, timeliness, uncertainty, uncertainty, social predictions, discrimination, poverty, isolated life and exclusion are the main problems most frequently faced by Syrian immigrant workers. The most important factors that threaten the health and safety of Syrian migrants at work are social and psychological dimensions.
