Yeni medya teknolojilerinin toplumlara nüfuzu arttıkça, dijital kapitalizm her şeyi metalaştırma imkânı elde etmektedir.
As the influence of new media technologies on societies increases, the digital capitalism gets the possibility of metalizing everything. In particular, the Web 2.0 technology has made it possible to make social media processes faster. In the reflection of capitalism in the digital world, children have been included both as consumer and meta. The legal age of use in Turkey for YouTube and similar social media platforms is 13 years old. However, the age of children who are both broadcasting and viewing on YouTube is far below the age limit of 13 years. In recent years in Turkey, children and youth can enter a process that will negatively affect their psychological and physical development as a publisher or as a publisher. On the other hand, the appearance of children in these scenes may reveal situations that are contrary to personality rights and child rights. In this study, using the method of Multi-Modal Critical Discourse Analysis, the YouTube channel "Babishko Family Fun TV" was analyzed in the context of childhood metalization, children's rights and the encouragement of children watching to consume. The aim of the study is to highlight the integrated structure of the social media-child relationship with the capitalist system and to pay attention to the losses that the child can experience with the use of social media. Parents need to be uninterested and ignorant by recognizing the possibility for the children to share here, if necessary themselves make sure that the children are visible in these places, causing the problem to deepen. In this regard, the absence of mechanisms that encourage the parents to be aware in society, when necessary, imposing criminal sanctions, is an important problem. The study is important to pay attention to this problem.
