Abstract:

This research aims to examine the articles in which augmented reality and mobile learning variables and augmented reality and mobile application variables have been used in the field of education in the last five years (between 2018 and May 2022) and to draw a detailed conclusion. For this purpose, as a result of the search made in the Web of Science database, 65 studies were included in the scope and examined according to specific criteria. Content analysis was carried out in the context of the year, the field of education, keyword, journal in which it was published, research method, data collection tool, data analysis method, participant level, number of participants, and the findings of studies on mobile augmented reality. According to the results of the research, it was seen that the most articles were published in 2020 between the years 2018-2022, the most studies were done in Taiwan, there are more studies in the field of science, the keywords of augmented reality and mobile learning were used the most in the articles, more articles are published in the journal "Interactive Learning Environments", quantitative research method was used mainly in the studies, the questionnaire was used more to collect data, descriptive statistics, t-test and content analysis were used more in data analysis, the studies were mostly carried out with university students, and participants between 31-50 and 51-100 were primarily preferred as the number of participants. Furthermore, the findings of the study revealed that mobile augmented reality applications facilitate the process of obtaining information, improve interest in learning and increase motivation.
