Siber Nezaket Ölçeği Geliştirilmesi: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması
2021
Journal:
Gaziantep University Journal of Social Sciences
Author:
Abstract:

Development of the cyber kindness scale: validity and reliability study
2021
Author:
Abstract:

In this study, the aim is to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool that can measure the gentle tendency of people in Turkey in cyber environments. The material pool of the scale consisting of 41 substances was created while the material pool of Rowland and Klisanin was supported in 2018 and some substances were added and removed by researchers. According to the opinion obtained by the experts, the survey was created, the survey participants were applied 38 material draft scale and the data obtained by this process was applied Opening Factor Analysis (AFA) and a structure of 24 materials and 5 factors that were extracted from the scale of 14 items not collected under any factor. After that, each of the elements and components of the process was identified and identified. The verifying factor analysis (DFA) was then applied to these factors, the application resulted in the extraction of 3 more items from the model in a total of 21 items and 5 factor structure were found to be highly compatible with the model compatibility values and valid. The t test, applied to the lower top groups, found that each substance in the scale has the ability to distinguish individuals with positive and negative attitudes. As a result of the Cronbach α ratings calculated for all the matters of the scale and for each individual factor, all the factors of the cyber-friendly scale and the reliability levels of the 21 matters in the scale were highly reliable and highly reliable. Given all these findings, it has been determined that this developed scale is a valid and reliable scale that can be used to measure cyber kindness.

Cyber-kindness Scale Development: Validity and Reliability Analysis
2021

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to develop a reliable and valid measurement tool to measure the kindness of people in cyber environments, in Turkey. While creating the item pool of the scale, which contains 41 items, the scale which is created by Rowland and Klisanin in 2018 is used as base, and some items were added, and/or removed by the researchers. After content validity study, the questionnaire is created in line with the opinions of the experts, and a 38-item draft scale is applied to the participants. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) is applied to the data obtained as a result of this process, and 14 items that are not collected under any factor are removed from the scale; 24-item and a 5-factor structure is revealed. Then, looking at the items and meanings of each factor, factors are named. Afterwards, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) is applied to these factors, and as a result of the analysis, 3 more items are removed from the model; and it is determined that a total of 21-item and a 5-factor structure showed a high degree of fit and validity. As a result of the t test applied to the lower and upper groups, it is determined that each item in the scale has the ability to distinguish individuals with positive and negative attitudes. As a result of calculation of the Cronbach α coefficients, for all items of the scale and each factor separately, all factors of the Cyber Kindness Scale (CKS) and the reliability levels of 21 items in the scale are found to be highly valid and highly reliable. Considering all these results, it is decided that CKS is a valid and reliable scale that can be used to measure cyber kindness.
