Tıpkı bireylerin hafızası gibi toplumların da hafızası bulunmaktadır. İnsanlar üzerinde etki oluşturan ve nesilden nesle ritüel, tören, simge veya farklı iletişim yöntemleriyle aktarılan geçmiş olay, birtakım değişimler yaşadıktan sonra topluma sunulmaktadır. Salt saflığıyla aktarılmayan geçmiş olayın, kimi zaman seçilmiş bir parçası aktarılır, kimi zaman görmezden gelinir, kimi zaman ise konjonktüre göre yeniden inşa edilir. Günümüzde büyük kitlelere, geçmiş olayı en etkili biçimde hatırlatma görevini kitle iletişim araçları üstlenmiştir. Yani bilinçler medya ile şekillendirilmiş ve aktarılan ideolojinin karşısında veya yanında oldukları fark etmeksizin, medyanın oluşturduğu gündem ile hemhal olmuşlardır. Bu durumu egemen güçler medya yöneticiliğini üstlenerek, kendi çıkarları doğrultusunda kullanmıştır. Medyanın özgürlüğü ve yerine getirmeyi vadettiği fonksiyonlarını göz önünde tuttuğumuzda, toplumu yönlendirmede yadsınamaz bir güce sahip olan geçmişi, erk sahibinin ideolojisi çerçevesinde hatırlatacağı aşikârdır. Çalışmada toplum üzerinde derin bir etkiye sahip olan 28 Şubat sürecinde yaşananlar, 1998 yılından bugüne, gazeteler tarafından topluma hangi yönleriyle, nasıl hatırlatıldığı ve ne tür kamuoyu oluşturulmaya çalışıldığı incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda farklı ideolojilere sahip olan iki gazetenin 28 Şubat postmodern darbesini gündeme getirme biçimlerini ve 21 yıllık dönem içerisinde değişen söylemlerini ortaya koymak amaçlanmaktadır. Haber metinleri eleştirel söylem çözümlenmesi yoluyla incelenmiştir. Çalışmadan çıkarılan sonuç ise, 28 Şubat’ın yıldönümlerinde gazetenin ideolojisi ve gündemin gerekleri doğrultusunda farklı bağlamlarda hatırlatılarak olayın yeniden inşa edildiği olmuştur.
The memory of the people, like the memory of the people. The past events that influence people and are transmitted from generations to generations through rituals, ceremonies, symbols or different methods of communication, are presented to society after a series of changes. Sometimes a selected part of the past event, not transmitted by salt purity, is transmitted, sometimes neglected, and sometimes rebuilt according to the conjuncture. Today, the mass media has taken the task of reminding the past events in the most effective way. That is, the consciousness has been shaped with the agenda that the media formed and transmitted, regardless of whether they are in front of or in the side of the ideology. This state has been used by the ruling powers, taking over the media management, in the direction of their own interests. When we take into account the freedom of the media and its functions it promises to fulfill, it is clear that its past, which has an inalienable power in guiding society, will be reminded in the framework of the ideology of the male owner. The events of the 28th February process, which have a profound influence on society in the study, have been studied by the newspapers since 1998 to the present day, with what aspects to society, how they are reminded and what kind of public is trying to be created. In this context, the aim of the two newspapers with different ideologies is to reveal the ways in which the 28th February postmodern coup is scheduled and their statements change within the period of 21 years. The news text has been examined through critical speech. The result from the work was that the event was rebuilt in different contexts, reminded of the ideology of the newspaper and the needs of the agenda in the anniversary of 28 February.
: Just like the memory of individuals, societies, also, have memory. The past event, which has an impact on human beings and is transferred from generation to generation by ritual, ceremony, icon or different communication methods, is presented to the society after experiencing a number of changes. A selected part of the past event, which is not transferred by pure purity, is sometimes transferred, sometimes ignored, and sometimes reconstructed according to the conjuncture. Today, media has taken an important duty of reminding the past event most efficiently to great populations. In other words, the consciousnesses have been influenced by the media's agenda, regardless of whether they are in the face of or with the ideology shaped by the media. When we consider the functions of the media promising freedom and fulfillment, it is clear that it will recall the past which has an undeniable power in guiding the society within the framework of the ideology of the master. In this study, it is examined how the events experienced in the period of February 28, which had a profound impact on the society, were reminded to the society and what kind of public opinion was tried to be created from 1998 up today by the newspapers. In this context, it is aimed to put forward the postmodern coup of February 28 on on the agenda of the two newspapers have different ideologies and their discourses that changed during the 21 year period. News texts were analyzed through critical discourse analysis. The conclusion of the study was that the event was being reoccurring on the anniversary of February 28, in various context in line with the newapapers ideology and requirements.
