Abstract:

The purpose of this work, examining participation in recreational activities and anxiety about physical education lessons of high school students. The area of this examination, is including the 9578 high school students of Bartın central district. The sampling of this work, selected with basic random sampling method with working total 484 students from varios type of high school. In order to collect data for this examination, personel data form which prepared by researchers, Physical Education Trait Anxiety Scale (PETAS) developed by Barkoukis, Rodafinos, Koidouand Tsorbatzoudis in 2012 and adapted in Turkish Kalemoğlu Varol in 2014. Analyzing of these datas, frequency, percentage distribution, T-Test, ANOVA (One-way Anova) and Pearson Correlation tests are used. According to result, meaningful differences are determined on anxiety back stages, somatic anxiety, PETAS cognitive processes, physical possibilities and activities back stages according to gender point, at T-Test results. According to age variable, meaningful differences are determined on PETAS cognitive processes, physical possibilities and activities back stages. In same way, according to family income variable, any difference not determined PETAS back stages on correlation analysis results. Also according to daily allocated time to recreational activities, negative and very low level of relationship is determined PETAS back stages on correlation analysis results. And according to ANOVA tests that we have made according to class level of students, meaningfull differences are determined on PETAS cognitive processes between 2. and 3. classes. and meaningfull differences are determined on somatic anxiety back stages between 2. and 3. classes and meaningfull differences are determined on anxiety back stages between 2. and 3. classes. As a result of this work, according to variable of students age; negative and very low level of relationship is determined according to Anxiety of Physical Education and Sport Lessons. The reason of this, during the age of students increasing, the anxiety of this lessons on students are decreasing. The other mean is, when the students start to have experiences on the lessons, their anxiety starts to decrease.
