Abstract:

This study is one of the methods commonly used in music education institutions that provide violin education in Turkey. Hoffmeister intends to study the method "Etuden Für Viola" in terms of the techniques of the right and left hand. The study is an illustrative study based on content analysis. In scientific studies in our country, method studies are very important in terms of playing education. These works, which both the teachers and students can benefit, have a guiding character in the field of violin, are also increasing. Because the original methods written for Viola are very few, the methods of the cement are transposed (transmitted to the tone) to the Viola repertoire. F. A. Hoffmeister's "Etuden Für Viola" method shows the character of an original method written for Viola. In this regard, the Viola is an important place in the repertoire. The method consisting of the middle and upper levels of 12 studies contains the techniques of the right and left hand that are studied and identified under the relevant titles. Examples of the 1st test were found to be appropriate. In terms of being the most comprehensive and unique test that includes all positions in the method, this test has been examined and analyzed in terms of pace, tonality, measurement, positions and the right and left hand techniques it contains. The techniques it contains, information about the technique is provided with examples of the study, under the relevant titles.
