Bu çalışmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin sürdürülebilir çevre eğitimi ve çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel ve ilişkisel tarama modeliyle tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Şehzadeler kampüsünde yer alan Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinden kolayda örneklem yoluyla araştırmaya dahil edilen 342 gönüllü öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada “Sürdürülebilir Çevre Eğitimi Tutum Ölçeği” (SÇETÖ) ve “Çevre sorunlarına Yönelik Tutum ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları kadın öğrencilerin Sürdürülebilir Çevre Eğitimi Ölçeği, sürdürülebilir çevre eğitimine yönelik gönüllülük ile sürdürülebilir çevre eğitiminde tasarruflu tüketim alt boyutlarına ilişkin tutumlarının erkeklerden yüksek olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca korelasyon analiz sonuçları incelendiğinde Çevre Sorunlarına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ile Sürdürülebilir Çevre Eğitimi Ölçeği alt boyutlarından sürdürülebilir çevreye yönelik bilinçlilik (r=480); sürdürülebilir çevre eğitimine yönelik gönüllülük (r=441); sürdürülebilir çevre eğitiminde tutumluluk (r=535); sürdürülebilir çevre eğitiminde duyarlılık (r=525) ve sürdürülebilir çevre eğitiminde tasarruflu tüketim (r=545) arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde; çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum ölçeği toplam puan ile sürdürülebilir çevre eğitimi ölçeği alt boyutlarından sürdürülebilir çevre eğitimine yönelik olumsuz düşünceler (r=505) arasında ise negatif yönde orta düzeyde ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak bireylerin Sürdürülebilir Çevre Eğitimi Tutumları ile Çevre Sorunlarına Yönelik Tutum düzeyleri arasında bir ilişkinin olduğu ifade edilebilir. İki ölçek arasındaki simbiyotik ilişki bireylerin çevre sorunlarına karşı eğitim almaları gerekliliğini ortaya koymaktadır.
This study aims to explore the relationship between sustainable environmental education and the attitudes of university students towards environmental issues. The research is designed with a visual and relative scanning model from quantum research methods. The sample of the study was attended by 342 volunteers from the School of Sports Sciences, located in the campus of Manisa Celal Bayar University of Şehzadeler, who were easily involved in the research through sample. The study used the “Sustainable Environmental Education Attitude Scale” and the “Environmental Problems Attitude Scale”. The research results show that women’s students’ attitudes towards sustainable environmental education and sustainable environmental education are higher than men’s attitudes towards sustainable environmental education and sustainable environmental education. In addition to the analysis of the correlation, the scale of attitude towards environmental issues with the overall score of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education with the scale of sustainable environmental education. As a result, it can be expressed that there is a relationship between persons’ Sustainable Environmental Education Attitudes and the level of attitude towards environmental issues. The symbiotic relationship between the two scales demonstrates the need for individuals to get education against environmental problems.
In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the sustainable environmental education of university students and their attitudes towards environmental problems. The research was designed with a descriptive and correlational scanning model from quantitative research methods. The sample of the study consisted of 342 volunteer students from the Faculty of Sports Sciences located on the Şehzadeler campus of Manisa Celal Bayar University, who were included in the study via convenience sampling. "Sustainable Environmental Education Attitude Scale" (SEEAS) and "Attitude towards Environmental Issues scale" were used in the research. The results of the research show that female students have higher attitudes towards sustainable environmental education, volunteering for sustainable environmental education and efficient consumption in sustainable environmental education subscales than males. In addition, when the correlation analysis results are examined, there is a moderate positive correlation between Attitude towards Environmental Problems Scale total score and awareness of the sustainable environment (r=480), volunteering for sustainable environmental education (r=441), frugality in sustainable environmental education (r=535), sensitivity in sustainable environmental education (r=525) and efficient consumption in sustainable environmental education (r=545) subscales of Sustainable Environment Education Attitudes Scale; as well as, there is a moderate negative correlation between Attitude towards Environmental Problems Scale total score and negative thoughts for sustainable environmental education (r=505) subscale of Sustainable Environment Education Attitudes Scale. As a result, it can be stated that there is a relationship between the attitudes of individuals towards sustainable environmental education and their attitudes towards environmental problems. The symbiotic relationship between the two scales demonstrates the need for individuals to be educated about environmental problems.
